At Telementrix, we believe in giving back to the local community. Due to a lifetime passion for the subject, our founder has chosen public outreach programs on astronomy to be the way we've invested our time and energy to help educate, inform, and support the local community.

For over 35 years, we have been providing free astronomy presentations at schools, parks, and public venues, and three times been given awards from the City of Scottsdale in recognition of our contribution. Presentations include safe solar observing, night time star parties, library talks, live online presentations, private events, cruise ship speaking engagements and full moon hikes.  In recognition of his contribution to educational outreach in astronomy, in 2018 our founder was certified by NASA as a Solar System Ambassador.  He has also been awarded the Master Level from the Astronomical League for his outreach activities.  Mark is also a Telescope.live master tutor and Ambassador, as well as member of the Board of Directors for the Phoenix Astronomical Society.
